ABOUT US

Vigilance Division caters to Vigilance functions in respect of officers/officials (below Board level) posted in Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC). The cases related to all officials are processed through the Chief Vigilance Officer.


The Vigilance Division in CWC is headed by a full time Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO). The present CVO Shri Pranai Prabhakar is an officer of Indian Railway Traffic Service. Assistant General Managers and a group of vigilance officers/staff assist him.

FUNCTIONS OF CHIEF VIGILANCE OFFICER (CVO)


The Vigilance Unit of Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) is responsible for vigilance activities in the organization under the aegis of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), the apex organization of the Government of India that controls anti-corruption measures and probity in public life. The vigilance unit conducts investigations, disciplinary proceedings, undertakes follow-up actions etc.


FUNCTIONS OF CHIEF VIGILANCE OFFICER ARE:

  1. Scrutiny of complaints having vigilance angle.

  2. Direct investigation/inquiry of complaints having vigilance angle.

  3. Seeking advice from CVC on the cases having vigilance angle.

  4. Extend assistance/ liaison with CBI/Police & other agencies in the investigation of cases.

  5. Examination of self-contained notes/ reports received from CBI and its follow up.

  6. Handling of prosecution sanctions pertaining to Vigilance cases.

  7. Issues concerning suspension and other departmental action in vigilance matters.

  8. Conduct departmental/disciplinary proceedings in vigilance matters, in respect of all employees, including retired employees.

  9. Coordination with CVC, CBI & other agencies on vigilance matters.

  10. Handling and issue of orders in appeal, review and revision petitions relating to vigilance matters.

  11. Issue of vigilance status as and when requested by Personnel Division.

  12. Preparation and maintenance of Agreed list, Officers of Doubtful Integrity (ODI) list.

  13. Conduct review meetings with the Managing Director.

  14. Identification of sensitive areas and monitoring implementation of rotational transfer policy.

  15. Scrutiny of Annual Property Returns.

  16. Assisting in Review exercise under FR-56(j).

  17. Coordination for organizing training/workshop on vigilance matters.

  18. Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week.
